Introducing Troy Dexter

Technology has always been a big passion for me, ever since I received my first computer. I immediately started by playing Divinity original sin II after so many years of watching Youtube videos about it. That short period fueled my interest in becoming a part of the games industry. Then my interest in programming started to expand. I watched my first ever YouTube tutorial on making pong with JavaScript back when I was in 8th grade, and now I am a Graduate of St-Lawrence College's Game Programming program in Cornwall. During my time at the college, I learnt how to use game development programs like,

  • Unity

  • Visual Studio

  • Jira

  • GitHub

  • Git command line

  • Blender

  • Gimp

  • Jenkins

I am currently learning Unreal Engine and GameMaker Studio 2 in my spare time. I now also feel comfortable using various programming languages,

  • C++ (intermediate)

  • C# (intermediate)

  • Python (intermediate)

  • OpenGL Shading Language (Beginner)

  • Game Maker Language (Beginner)

  • Javascript (Beginner)

I’m continuously excited to learn how to improve and take my skills to the next level. My goal is to turn my passion for games into a full-time job in game development.
